Sometimes saving money is right under your fingertips. Why does it take a financial crisis to give us reasons to find ways to cut expenses? Take a closer look at your bank statement. Are there service charges and fees being deducted from your balance that could be eliminated? Give your banking center a phone call, challenge the legitimacy of the charges. Often times you will find ways to save. Call your credit card company. Ask for a reduction in interest rates. Even small amounts will result in saving over time. It never hurts to ask. The worst thing that can happen is getting a “no” answer.
Take a closer look at your insurance policies. Meet with your agent to find ways to reduce rates. Many times increasing your deductible and making other minor changes to your policy can make a substantial difference. Often times coverages overlap and reworking the details will translate to savings. Think of how much money is wasted by not having the urgency to pay attention to details.
